About Me

Still Becoming Me began as language for a season.

A reminder that growth doesn’t need to be loud to be real.

I’m Shayla McClain, a teacher and author. My work lives at the intersection of care, reflection, and real life. Through both my professional work and my personal journey, I’ve learned how often women are expected to stay strong without being honest about how heavy that can feel.

This brand was created for Black women navigating anxiety, faith, creativity, responsibility, and becoming all at once.

Nothing here is meant to fix you.
Everything here is meant to meet you honestly.

Soft growth is still growth.
And becoming is allowed to be slow.

Still Becoming Me

Soft growth. Honest living.

A reflective brand creating books, planners, and tools for Black women navigating anxiety, faith, and becoming.

This is a space for slowing down.
For honesty without explanation.
For growth that doesn’t rush you.

You don’t have to become anyone else.
You’re already becoming you.
